Mid-States Aluminum Corp. has invested in a new Mori Seiki NH500 DCG High-Precision Horizontal Machining Center (HMC).

With this latest machining center addition, we now have 2 - 500mm HMCs for a total of 4 HMCs ranging from 400mm - 600mm.

Mori Seiki NH500 DCG Machine specifications:

• 500mm dual pallet horizontal machining center with a 40 taper spindle
• Machine travel limits: X 28.7”, Y 28.7”, Z 33.5”
• Maximum work piece swing diameter: 31.4”, x 39.3” in height
• 14,000 RPM spindle along with 30 HP of cutting force
• Fanuc controller MSX-701 with MAPPS III software
• Equipped with Renishaw Part Probing software

The new Mori Seiki HMC will provide Mid-States with the latest cutting-edge technology in quality and production. This machine has a new design and is driven at the center of gravity to minimize tool vibration and optimize precision, machining time and tool life. This newly designed model is equipped with the world’s fastest rotary axis drive system. There is a shorter machine cycle time and a more precise, finished product which allows Mid-States to stay ahead of the competition and enables us to offer you the best in quality and cost.
